Chocolate Fair, Valentine Gifts, and
Artwear Fashion Show

A Helena Civic Center Board fundraiser for Civic Center
improvement
One of
Helena’s most popular events, our 25th annual Chocolate &
Valentine Fair was renamed FEBRULICIOUS FESTIVAL in 2009 and
jazzed up to reflect the introduction of some exciting new
elements to the venue, Artwear fashion and unique gifts.
We welcome vendors utilizing ‘Re-used, ‘Re-purposed’ and
‘Re-considered’ wearables, utilitarian items and gifts to
join in, along with our traditional chocolate, candy and
dessert delicacies. The show will feature all of the above,
as well as Valentine gift ideas for loved ones, friends and
pets. We encourage vendors apply to join us in this fun
endeavor to raise monies for Civic Center Improvements.
Artwear fashion shows will add to the festival atmosphere.
CHOCOLATE, CANDY, AND DESSERT
DELICACIES.
The cornerstone of our event! Food may be sold in bite size,
regular portions, whole or other. If you plan to serve or
sell food, you MUST contact the City-County Health
Department food inspectors (406-447-8361 or 406-447-8352 1
pm - 5 pm) two weeks before the Fair for either a free
short term permit or license. The Department requires that
food handlers not have direct contact with food; either use
a utensil or wear disposable gloves. Bake sales for groups
performing their fundraising activities are always welcome.
ARTWEAR FASHION, MATERIALS AND GIFTS.
We’re delighted to invite vendors who design and/or sell
‘Re-used’, ‘Re-purposed’, and/or ‘Re-considered’ materials
in their artwear and gifts. Think about highlighting them
by participating in the
Artwear Fashion
Show
as well!
VALENTINE GIFTS, ARTS & CRAFTS
should be appropriate for Valentine's Day and, as much as
possible, carry a Valentine theme. If they include
‘Re-used’, ‘Re-purposed’, and/or ‘Re-considered’ materials,
all the better!
THE ARTWEAR FASHION SHOWS
will
be held at
10:30
am, 12 noon and 1:30 pm. From elegant to outrageous,
from accessories to footwear, and everything in between,
anything wearable is fair game for an artist’s
transformation to wearable art. ‘Re-use’, ‘Re-purpose’,
and/or ‘Re-consider’ what’s in your closet, what you find in
the thrift store, your rag bag or in the bottom of your
fabric stash and come and ‘strut your stuff.’ Artwear must
be made from at least 50% recycled or reused materials.
Registration forms and additional information will be available
for download on November 1, 2010.
